00 PM EasternWORK OBJECTIVE Salary is based on experience and/or qualifications, and is subject to negotiation Perform technical, administrative, operational, and fieldwork supporting law enforcement functions.
Employee will be assigned to the Community Involvement Unit and have no arrest powers.
This position would ensure customers receive a high level of service, customer accessibility, timely communications, effective outreach, education and problem resolution with the goal of strengthening the relationship with residents and business community and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction with respect to the provision of the City code of ordinances and policies.
Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the initiative and independent judgment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED, supplemented by two (2) years of related work experience communicating with people/groups both in person and through social media or customer service; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
Must be 18 years or older at the time of employment.
Must possess or be able to obtain, by the time of hire, a valid Florida driver's license without record of revocation in any State and maintain it throughout employment.
Must have no felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories within the past seven (7) years.
Must be able to read and write the English language.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
Must have a valid Florida driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.
