5th HQ - We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Packer to join our team in our Shipping Department.
The ideal candidate will performs a multi-functional job, which involves the assembly of boxes, packing customer orders, and labeling packages so that products may be shipped.
This is a full time position Monday - Friday 8am - 4:
30pm $14/HRDuties:
Read customer notes, check the order request dates, prioritize orders in accordance to the past due dates.
Count and place parts and/or cartons of parts on skids or shelving.
Remove completed or flawed packages and take them to the proper areas.
Assemble boxes with tape to ensure packaging is sturdy.
Prepare orders by packing items in box, sealing containers and placing identification labels on boxes.
Keep records of items packed and attach to customer and or production order with last item packed.
Operation of light industrial equipment such as barcode scanners and printers will be requiredPerforms other duties as assignedSkills/
Qualifications:
Basic computer skillsBasic math skillsStrong attention to detailEnglish and Bilingual English/Spanish skills are highly desiredAble to understand and follow oral and/or written directionsPhysical Requirements:
Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds -Able to stand for long periods of timeAble to exercise the same muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objectsPerform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
