65 a year WORK OBJECTIVE Salary is based on experience and/or qualifications, and is subject to negotiation Performs technical, administrative, operational, and field work supporting law enforcement functions.
Work involves receiving and responding to a wide variety of non-emergency calls requiring a law enforcement response, but not requiring the presence of a certified law enforcement official.
Employees in this classification have no arrest powers.
Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Community Service Aide I MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED; supplemented by six (6) months of related experience in an office environment or customer service; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.
Must be 18 years or older at the time of employment.
Must possess or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid Florida driver's license without record of revocation in any State and maintain throughout employment.
Must have no felony convictions or disqualifying criminal histories within the past seven (7) years.
Must be able to read and write the English language.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A MANDATORY CIVIL SERVICE TEST WILL BE ADMINISTERED (DATE TO BE DETERMINED) Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience; psychological evaluation; polygraph examination; background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
