Job Description Summary:
To provide administrative support to the Housekeeping Department.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
Previous experience working in Hotel/Resorts is required for this position.
Monitors and responds to dispatch radio
Dispatches guest/Telecom/supervisor calls to appropriate parties
Maintains, on a daily basis, all Housekeeping logs
Maintains signed-in and signed out sheets for Housekeeping.
Reconciles boards and keys at the end of shift
Monitors the systems and ensures all arrivals, VIP and rushed rooms are communicated to the housekeeping supervisors
Continually communicates with Front Office, Engineer and Supervisors to verify status of all guest rooms
Inputs information to maintain accurate and up-to-date room status information
Performs all duties in a timely and professional manner
Other duties at assigned
Available to work flexible schedules to include weekends and holidays
Able to communicate fluently in English language. Knowledge of Creole/French and or Spanish is desirable for this position.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge: Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service, or manual areas
Formal Education This position requires a minimum formal high school education Job-Related Experience: and a minimum of two year experience in the areas of Housekeeping.
Required skills: Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English and Spanish
Knowledge of systems: OPERA, Hotsos is highly desirable
Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to type at least 25 wpm
Excellent customer service skills, with external and internal guests.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
